Happy December to our amazing students, dedicated staff, and esteemed faculty! Get ready to jingle all the way through finals week and the holiday season, where you can now unwrap the gift of registering for winter, spring, and summer courses.

Just a friendly reminder, apply for graduation if you expect to complete your degree this upcoming May or August. Remember, Drury does not host an August commencement ceremony. Students who wish to participate in commencement and will be graduating in the summer must apply for graduation before the May commencement ceremony. The last day to apply for May or August graduation is Friday, January 19, 2024. The Application for Graduation form can be found on MyDrury. Requirements for graduation are on page 31 of the 2023-2024 College of Graduate Studies Catalog.

While you're navigating through the magical world of academia during finals week, we hope you're also eagerly counting down to the holiday season. Prepare to savor both the challenges of exams and the joyous delights of holiday celebrations. Whether you're crunching numbers or enjoying a festive feast, may this season be filled with academic achievements and holiday cheer!

Upcoming Activities

Scholars, there are several events this week to bring awareness to homelessness in Springfield. These events include volunteer opportunities, donating, a movie showing, and a panel discussion.

The panel discussion is Wednesday, 12/6 at 6:00 p.m.(FSC Ballroom) with:

Monica Horton, Springfield City Council

Pastor Christie Love, The Connecting Grounds

Adam Bodendieck, Director of Homelessness Services, Community Partnership of the Ozarks

11-15 (Monday-Friday) - Finals Week – (Final Exam Schedule)

15 (Friday) - Classes End – Full Semester & B Block

16 (Saturday) - Winter Commencement – 10 a.m.

18 (Monday) - Final Grades Due 8 a.m. – Full Semester & B Block Winter Term Begins

20 (Wednesday) - Last Day to Add – Winter Term – 5 p.m., also last day for Refund – 5 p.m. – Winter Term

22 (Friday) - Christmas Eve – University Closed (Observed)

25 (Monday) - Christmas – University Closed (Observed)

29 (Friday) - New Year’s Eve – University Closed (Observed)

P.S. Reminder: All students pursuing a master’s degree must apply for graduation regardless of whether they walk. This “locks in” their degree. Students who do not apply, risk their credits expiring after seven years.
